Matar pulao is an absolute treat for indian food lovers. I cooked it last weekend. It was a get-together party at my home. My friends appreciated its taste and asked for this indian recipe. I thought it to be a good idea to put up the indian recipe of matar pulao.

- Basmati rice - 2 cup
Green peas - 2 cup
Onions (chopped) - 2 large
Green chilli - 2-3
Ginger (grated) - 1 inch
Cinnamon stick - 1
Butter or ghee - 4 tbsp
Water - 4 cup
salt to taste
Matar pulao recipe preparation method (indian recipe)
- Heat butter in a large heavy-bottomed vessel.
Add green chilles, ginger and cinnamon.
Fry for a few seconds.
Add onions and fry on for few minutes till the onions are golden brown.
Add the rice, green peas, water and salt. Mix well.
Bring to boil on high heat. Reduce heat and cover for 10-15 minutes or till all water evaporates.
Serve this indian food of matar pulao with dal and raita.
